(HomeGarden247.com, January 23, 2015 ) Atlanta, Ga -- If the owners of The Giving Tree Outpost have anything to do with it, everybody will be cooking more and more meals on the grill in the New Year. Last week, the Atlanta-based company launched Grillzilla, their first product line on amazon.com. "Grilling food just keeps getting more and more popular," explained Jonathan Bowers, one of two brothers who own the company. "Our goal is to find and distribute accessories and tools that make it easier, safer and more fun to grill."
The first product the company is debuting on Amazon.com is a set that includes two grilling tools, a pair of silicone gloves and two Teflon® mats, both designed to make the grilling experience better. Patrick Bowers, co-owner of the company said, "We selected these products to solve common problems people have when grilling food." He explained the gloves allow the cook to pick up any hot item off the grill by hand instead of trying to use slippery tongs or spatulas. "There are other grill gloves on the market, but these are the only ones that are FDA-approved to be heat resistant up to 425 degrees. It's just a plus that they are washable and dishwasher safe." He added that the gloves can also be used as oven mitts and to take items likes hard boiled eggs and corn on the cob out of boiling water.
The grill mats are designed solve other problems people have with grilling. Placing one of the mats on top of the grill rack creates a solid surface to grill smaller items like fruits, vegetables and shellfish that often fall through the slats in grills, while the Teflon® coating prevents items like fish and chicken from sticking to the grill slats. The 15" x 13" mats can be cut to fit any grill, are heat resistant up to 500 degrees and are also washable and dishwasher safe.
"Putting the two products together to sell as a set just made perfect sense," said Jonathan. "Once people try these products, they are going to wonder how they ever grilled without them."
The Grillzilla set retails for $31.99 and comes with a lifetime guarantee, no questions asked. The company is donating a portion of proceeds from first quarter sales of the Grillzilla set to the American Cancer Society. "One of the reasons we launched The Giving Tree Outpost was to help raise money for good causes," explained Patrick. "We're hopeful that we can donate a significant amount to help fight this terrible disease." Helping the fight against cancer starts here. GRILLZILLA
